These Are Some Vaguely Musical Links

We start with the Strokes. Why does this picture hurt me so much? The article explains more of what I realized that night in the first week of August.

We Are Scientists: still clever, without Michael.

Pitchfork graded Pale Young Gentlemen. I always knew they could do it.

This is the perfect time to finally gush over this Lashes interview. It's been months since I first found this and I would read it every day, because it never got old. It got funnier. I still occasionally ask people if they want the real story or the pancakes story. And it makes me wish that The Lashes were more famous so that Ben could do more interviews.

The strangest thing ever happened a while ago. Andy Ross began writing again. He stopped blogging in February 2006, but it was December when I read all those archives and immersed myself in their world. There's a petition on the forums to get him blogging again, but it seemed hopeless. I thought he would hide out forever. But no. Constant touring and suit-wearing hasn't dulled his ability. He is alive and functioning and have I not mentioned how much I like Secret Dakota Ring? It's "a lot." Anyway, it's amazing to have him back, even in the tiny increments.
